EXCITING PHOTOGRAPHY NOW is the first ever open call in MATTE Magazine's decade-long history of supporting emerging artists. Edited by Eve Lyons and Matthew Leifheit, the issue will be a survey of current photography that is not boring.
Details: Submit 5-10 images in an email to mattemag@gmail.com by January 1st, 2023. Feel free to also include links to websites, articles, and social media. Selected artists will be contacted to discuss editing a portfolio of their photographs for the magazine. Half of the artists featured will come from the open call, the rest will be invited. There is no fee for submission.
MATTE Magazine was founded in 2010 as a print magazine dedicated to new ideas in photography. Now in its 61st issue, the magazine is distributed internationally by Ra & Olly, Ltd.
